# Privacy policy

Last updated 30 October 2026

This policy explains what happens to your data when you use Aback Games (abackgames.com), operated by Aback Group. The short version: you do not need an account, analytics cookies are only used if you allow them, and your game data stays in your browser.

## No accounts

You can play every game without signing up. We do not ask for your name, email address or any other personal details.

## Data stored on your device

Games save a small amount of data in your browser's local storage so they work the way you left them. This data never leaves your device and is not sent to us.

- **aback-games:consent** remembers whether you allowed analytics, so we only ask once.
- **aback-games:prefs** remembers whether game sounds are on or off.
- **aback-games:theme** remembers that you switched to the dark theme. It is only stored after you use the theme switch.
- **aback-games:snake-arena** remembers your last Snake Arena speed and wall mode, and your best score for each combination.
- **aback-games:coil-clash** remembers your last Coil Clash rival level and skin, and your best length for each rival level.
- **aback-games:blob-arena**, **aback-games:turf-rush** and **aback-games:tank-brawl** remember your last rival level and colour, and your best result for each rival level.
- **aback-games:star-battle** and **aback-games:ball-sort** remember your last level, and your best time and puzzles solved for each level. The matching keys ending in **\-game** hold the puzzle you are working on and are removed when you solve it.
- **aback-games:memory-match** remembers your last Memory Match size, and your best time, fewest turns and games won for each size. **aback-games:memory-match-game** holds the game in progress and is removed when you finish it.
- **aback-games:four-in-a-row** and **aback-games:checkers** remember your last AI level, and your wins, losses and draws against each level.
- **aback-games:bit-flip**, **aback-games:hex-hue** and **aback-games:code-typer** remember your last level or language, and your best score (or best typing speed) and rounds played for each.
- **aback-games:score-keeper** holds the scoresheet in the free Score Keeper tool, so a reload does not lose it. It is removed when you start a new game there.
- **aback-games:mexican-train** remembers your last rival level and match length, and your matches played, wins and lowest final score. **aback-games:mexican-train-game** holds the match in progress and is removed when the match ends.
- **aback-games:minesweeper** remembers your last Minesweeper level, and your best time and games won and played for each level.
- **aback-games:sudoku** remembers your last Sudoku level, and your best time and puzzles solved for each level. **aback-games:sudoku-game** holds the puzzle you are working on, so you can continue it later; it is removed when you solve it.
- **aback-games:block-puzzle** remembers your best Block Puzzle score and games played. **aback-games:block-puzzle-game** holds the game in progress and is removed when the game ends.
- **aback-games:solitaire**, **aback-games:freecell** and **aback-games:spider-solitaire** remember your last setting, and your best time, wins and games played for each setting. The matching keys ending in **\-game** hold a game in progress and are removed when you win or deal a new game.

You can delete this data at any time by clearing site data for abackgames.com in your browser settings. Private or incognito windows discard it when they close.

## Sharing

Share buttons are optional. **Post on X** opens X's own posting page in a new tab with a suggested post (such as your result and a link to the game) already filled in; nothing is sent to X unless you choose to post it there, and Aback Games loads no X scripts or tracking pixels. **Copy link** puts the page address on your clipboard, and **Share…** opens your device's own share menu where the browser offers one.

## Cookies and analytics

Aback Games sets no cookies of its own and shows no advertising. We use Google Analytics 4 to learn how many people visit and which games they play, but only if you allow it: on your first visit a bar at the bottom of the page asks, and nothing is loaded from Google until you choose **Allow**. If you choose **No thanks**, or never answer, Google Analytics is not loaded at all.

If you allow analytics:

- Google Analytics sets the cookies **\_ga** and **\_ga\_<id>** to tell visits apart and count returning visitors.
- It records the pages you view, roughly how long you stay, your browser, device type and approximate location (country or city, worked out by Google from your IP address), and game events such as starting, finishing or sharing a round, with the level played. It does not receive your name, what you type, or your exact scores.
- Google signals and ad personalisation are turned off, and the data is not used for advertising.
- Google processes the data for us as described in [how Google uses information from sites that use its services](https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites).

You can change your mind at any time. Turning analytics off also deletes its cookies.

Analytics is **…** in this browser.

## Hosting

The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical information such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. See [Cloudflare's privacy policy](https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/) for details.

## Children

We do not ask anyone for personal information, and we do not knowingly collect it from children. Analytics, if allowed, counts visits without identifying who you are.
