Developers and AI agents
Everything here is public, read-only and free: no API key, account or sign-up.
Aback Games publishes its catalogue in machine-readable form so apps, search tools and AI agents can find a game, link to it and explain how to play it. Everything is built with the site, so it always matches the pages.
Catalogue API
GET /api/games.json returns every published game as JSON: its id, title, page URL, Markdown URL, summary, category, tags, difficulty, keyboard and touch support, cover image, related games and guides, plus each category and its games. The OpenAPI description documents every field, and /.well-known/api-catalog lists the API for automated discovery (RFC 9727).
Please link to the game pages rather than copying the games. Game ids and page URLs are stable.
Markdown versions of every page
Add .md to any page's address to get it as Markdown, for example /games/sudoku.md (the home page is /index.md). Requesting a page with Accept: text/markdown returns the same Markdown at the normal address. /llms.txt lists every page.
Agent skill
The find-and-play-games skill tells an agent how to pick a game for a request, link to it and explain its rules from the Markdown pages. It is listed in the agent skills index, and the agent catalog (ARD) describes the API, the skill and llms.txt together.
Tools in the browser (WebMCP)
In browsers that support WebMCP, every page registers these tools for an AI agent working in that tab. They only read the catalogue and search index, or move to another page on this site.
search-site: Search Aback Games for free browser games, categories, strategy guides and tools. Returns up to 10 matches with titles, URLs and descriptions.list-games: List the published games with their URL, summary, category and controls. Optionally only one category, or only games that work on touch screens.open-page: Open a page on Aback Games in this tab, such as a game from search-site or list-games. Takes a path like /games/sudoku or a full abackgames.com URL.
Content use
robots.txt declares Content-Signal: search=yes, ai-input=yes, ai-train=no: search engines and AI answers may show and link to these pages, but please do not use them to train AI models. There is no login, so there is no OAuth or other authentication to discover.
